Cardamom Cookies

Ingredients
1 Pound butter or margiran
2 Cups Brown Sugar
1 egg
2 Tbsp. Cinnamon
1 Tbsp Cardamom
1 tsp. Vanilla
1 tsp soda
4 Cups Flour (approx.) Enough to make real stiff dough.
1 Cup chopped Almonds or Walnuts (for topping)
Preparation
Cream together all ingredients except flour. Add flour until dough becomes very
stiff. Shape into round balls (3/4 - 1 inch dia.) and flatten in your hand. Beat
a second egg and carefully dip the top of the cookie in the egg, then in the chopped
nuts. We mix colored sugar with the chopped nuts for added color. Bake at 375
degrees F. for about 10 minutes or until the bottoms brown slightly.
