Old Fashioned Raw Apple Cake

Cake Ingredients
3/4 Cup Butter
1 Cup Sugar
1/2 Cup Brown sugar (packed)
2 Eggs
1 Cup Sour Milk
1 teaspoon Baking soda
2 1/2 Cups Flour
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Baking Powder
2 teaspoons Cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon Nutmeg
1 teaspoon Vanilla
2 Cups Peeled, diced raw apples
1/2 Cup Chopped Nuts

Topping Ingredients:
1/3 Cup Sugar
1 Cup Chopped nuts
1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon Nutmeg


Preparation

Cake: Cream sugar and butter. Add eggs and mix. Add soda to sour milk, add to egg mixture. Add vanilla and mix well. Sift flour, salt, baking powder, cinnamon and nutmeg. Add slowly and mix well. Batter will be quite stiff. Add raw apples and nuts. Pour into greased 13x9 inch pan.

Toppign: In small bowl, mix together topping ingredients, then sprinkle over cake before baking. Bake 40 - 45 minutes at 350.
