In March 2005 we purchased a used 1996 34' Airstream Cutter Bus in Houston Texas and drove her back to Minnesota. Randy spent the summer upgrading the old carpet, adding laminate floors to the kitchen and bath, and generally sprucing the RV up.

With retirement and the sale of our townhome pending, we moved into the RV in a park near Minneapolis. The biggest challenge of all was unburdening ourselves from years of accumulated stuff. We unloaded everything but about a dozen storage tubs of stuff - which Randy's sisters graciously offered to store in their garage until we needed it again.

After a few missteps with the real estate closing, we both became official retirees on August 31st, 2005.
